Circulating claim that Uganda Airlines top bosses suspended
Claim by Saturday Monitor.
According to the newspaper, the minister of Works and Transport Gen. Edward Katumba Wamala has ordered a section of the senior management team at the Uganda Airlines Corporation to leave office for at least three months to allow an internal investigation.
The writer further claims that it was not yet clear what prompted the decision that took effect on Wednesday following a meeting between the works minister and the senior management team.
However, Gen. Katumba Wamala has dismissed the claims by Daily Monitor. He says that the management were asked to take leave because of the low operations caused by COVID19 and also let top management rest as they prepare for the long haul operations. He says that this was done to train and test deputies for equality assurance.
He further calls upon the public to stop the speculations and focus on supporting Uganda Airlines to better our country.
