Emmanuel Ainebyoba, Ministry of Health Spokesperson said that the claim is false. He urged the public to disregard the false information making rounds. 

A claim that Uganda’s health care system is already struggling against the third wave of the COVID19 pandemic has been making rounds on social media.

According to the poster, he claims that Ugandans should be ware that the country is already facing the third wave, so they should ensure strict adherence to the measures provided by the Ministry of Health.

However, Emmanuel Ainebyoba, the spokesperson Ministry of Health said that the claim is false. He urged the public to disregard the false information making rounds.

Ainebyona said this while addressing Journalists at Uganda Media Centre about vaccination.

He further affirmed that Uganda is still struggling with the dominant delta variant.

According to the COVID19  tests done on 4th September 2021, 81 new cases were confirmed  and the cumulative confirmed cases are 120,662.
