The viral video showing robbers attacking motorists wasn’t taken in Uganda. In the CCTV footage, a group of robbers is seen attacking occupants in different cars on a busy road. However, we have established that the incident happened in Botswana not Uganda as claimed. Furthermore, the video was first shared by Botswana Police Services.

There is a promotion purportedly by MTN Uganda in circulation on social media platforms especially WhatsApp. MTN Uganda, through its official pages has however come out and informed the public that it is a fake promotion.  

Fake poster announcing jobs in the name of Nile Breweries

A fake poster is circulating on social media announcing job vacancies in the names of Nile Breweries Limited (NBL). The poster in question announces 13 job positions purportedly available at the Breweries company. However, NBL through their social media platforms have debunked the poster saying it is fake.
